Tamzin Barroilhet is Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Commercial Strategy for Cleveland’s WNBA franchise. The team, set to tip off its inaugural season in 2028, is part of Rock Entertainment Group (REG), Chairman Dan Gilbert’s powerhouse sports and entertainment entity encompassing the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland WNBA Expansion Team, the AHL Cleveland Monsters, the NBA G League Cleveland Charge and Rock Entertainment Sports Network (RESN). REG also manages operations of key venues such as the Cleveland Clinic Courts and Rocket Arena, the epicenter of sports and entertainment in Northeast Ohio.
In Tamzin’s newly appointed role, she will build the team’s corporate partnership strategy from the ground up, shape the commercial identity of the franchise and drive significant revenue through innovative partnerships, positioning the team as a leader in the world of women’s sports. Leveraging her expertise in partnership marketing, brand management, retail, athlete negotiations, business strategy and operations, Tamzin will also support the organization’s broader commercial & marketing strategy.
Tamzin began her career in 2014 with the Cleveland Cavaliers, spending five seasons, including the 2016 NBA Championship year, with the corporate partnerships team, where she managed numerous high-profile sponsorships and notably secured the team’s first NBA jersey patch partner. She then joined Excel Sports Management as Director of Brand Marketing, where she developed and activated global sports marketing and grassroots strategies and managed sports & entertainment sponsorship portfolios for some of the most recognizable brands across diverse industries. Most recently, Tamzin spent four years in Global Sports Marketing at Under Armour, leading partnerships with major sports organizations, teams and athletes to boost brand visibility and consumer engagement. She established a landmark partnership with the Unrivaled Basketball League and oversaw activations across Under Armour’s basketball portfolio from high school to professional, expanding the brand’s presence in men’s and women’s basketball worldwide.
Before launching her business career, Tamzin competed as a professional international basketball player. She earned a degree in Sports Management and Business from Kent State University, where she played Division I basketball, followed by a Master’s in Communication Management from John Carroll University. As a teenager, she trained in France’s elite professional basketball academy with powerhouse Bourges Basket, captained the national U20 team to a European gold medal and captured multiple French national championships. With family roots in France, England, Spain, Chile and the United States, she carries a truly global perspective but considers France home.
From the court to the boardroom, Tamzin brings a unique blend of elite athletic experience, global business acumen and a proven record of building impactful partnerships, making her an influential leader in shaping the future of women’s sports.
